People:me & bigliam

Duration:11am-3pm

Tide:low tide at 2pm

Weather:bit windy

Bait:rag mackerel frozen black lug

Rigs:2 hook pulley for me 3 hook flapper for Liam

Results:dab 12cm for me Pollack 21cm for Liam

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:me and Liam went waterfoot beach after looking at a lot of other marks because of the frost and rocks being wet we went to a beach. We fished this beach at the northern meet at night and we tried it in the day time to see if it was any better sadly not fishing was well crap. I was putting Liam’s breakaway backrest and tidy tray on to his Shakespeare team box it was easy but I had spent an hour on it at lest I wanted it to be perfect for him. I had a birds nest on my 525 mag I hit the slidey bit with my hand wile reeling in the small dab I was more interested in the box and left the rod and reel sitting there for an hour and a half it was a cut out job for the 525. I had a game of football with the kids on the beach out for a walk and we had a bait stealer when a dog helped him self to are mackerel. I got the new Shakespeare (SALT) tripod in Larne angling supplies this tripod is the best one on the market and comes in a handy hardwearing canvass bag it is 10 x better than the Shakespeare one I got last time the pro black one its crap but the new blue one is the dogs bullocks. Liam had a small Pollack as we were packing up 21cm the sand was a nightmare UN like cushendun the sand is soaking and sticks to everything but apart from that a good day out we had a dander up the beach after we packed up to see what we could see it’s a very nice beach I cant think why we are not getting good fish here anyway we went on to a good fishing mark that night and Liam is putting that report on soon
