Dear all,

I have just purchased a daiwa tournament tnxs 130m and am thinking of buying a new 7ht to go with it. please give me feed back to weather you think these would be a good combination.

i dont think that would b a good combo because the 130 is a powerful rod and the 7ht isnt such a powerfull reel.

i would reccomend the mag xtra 8) :shock:

hows it goin mate cheers for the reply i was thinking it was a powerful rod alright and i think for that reason i would be better off going for a small light and fast reel like the new 7ht or a rocket if i could get one.

well that would be good but with the mag u will have most of the casting and alot more power.

ye maybe your right ill try out a few reels first befoe buying one, ill be using it for distance over clean ground

Give me a pm. I could meet up with you in Killiney maybe. I have the older models of the 7HT plus mag elites. You could try a few casts. I would be interested in seeing the performance on the 130m myself.

brock im goin to wait till i get my 7ht before really givin the rod a good try out dont dont want to be getting to used to it with a different real, im goin to get one of the old 7ht's aswell man

forgot to give you a 7ht last night , your better of to get one sure you have slosh for limerick and the rough ground
