North Wexford - Sept 29th & 30th

#1 Post by John D »

People:Me, codswollop and Graham Murray

Duration:Friday night and Saturday morning

Tide:High approx 8 at night and 8 the next morning

Weather:Friday night calm and mild. Saturday morning force 7 winds and heavy rain. Big swell on the sea and coloured water

Bait:Rag, frozen lug, fresh peeler, frozen squid.

Rigs:1 hook sliding ledger in the morning, 2 hook paternoster at night.

Results:At night 1 tiny flattie and about 10 dogs. We got nothing the next morning.

Catch and Release:: Yes

Report:Seeing as though we haven't been out fishing for a while and with all the excitement associated with our return it was a pretty disappointing trip. We won't give up!

What colour was the sea. I have noticed a tendancy for fish to be scarce when the water is badly coloured. I had one bad session a few weeks ago when conditions were rough and the water like chocolate.

It was fairly normal i think Pat, didnt notice anything odd anyway. I think were gonna stay away from Wexford for a while now, might head to Limerick soon to the Shannon, then Maybe Cork in a month or 2.

U been down there recently???
