fanore Co.Clare 22nd sept...

People: is mise agus nige.. (me and nige)

Duration: 3 - 9pm

Tide: high at 6

Weather:clear, sunny with a southeast wind behind us

Bait: lug, sandeel, mackerel, and squid

Rigs: various

Results: we didn't blank put it that way....

Catch and Release:: No :oops: :oops:



Report: well it only rained (kinda) once.. there was good surf along the beach with a bit of weed thrown in for good measure :( ...

nige was the first to catch..
B*****D got a greater weaver :shock: :shock: .. swollowed hook as well..
so that got burried deep in the sand never to poison any one...

then i hooked into something BIG ... what ever it was took my rig in to the rocks in the middle of the beach and thats where i said goodbye to it all :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry: (havent a clue wat it could be either)

a little while later i hooked into a plaice.. nice size too... tasted even better.. (just had it for dinner... yummie)

then all went quiet on the western front

The company says that the drug is fast-acting, long-acting and non-addictive. Tetrodotoxin is currently being evaluated as a possible drug for treating cancer pain.

it was a greater... i know that they are usually found in deeper waters (even said that to nige after he caught it), but with the weather we have been having its not uncommon to catch them in shallow waters after a good storm..

Several greater weaver caught in Clones and Kilgorman, Wexford last sunday. Some were measured at 28cms
