Hi Lads
looking to buy a grauvell zeus z 5000 to use with light braid any body got one if so are they any good i am using two old biomaster and feel they need to be replaced or should i buy a new biomaster

Any help on this i would be very greatfull

Have one about a month and they feel and look bullet proof. Now the braid thing I do not know I put braid on one spool and got wind knots all day. Maybe I got to light of braid but have not tried again. The mono is working great. Its a strong reel and will be a bit heavy for a lite rod. I have it matched to a gravell 15th surf 4500. Hope this helps

found the same problem going with too small a diameter braid with the wind knots, had bother with 20lb powerpro, but never have bother with 30lb spiderwire stealth

i have 50lb whiplash on my Penn surfmaster 60 it came on it i haven't had any problems with it and it gets used for every thing rock fishing and beach fishing 50 lb whiplash is thinner than 15 lb mono witch i use to use all the time. and i have 15 lb braid on my spinning out fit power pro and no problems with it too i even put flatey rigs on it when fishing the beach
