Report:
I have decided to target bass for the next few months and on the strength of this first outing - it will be a long few months
Tried Benone early (for me anyway) on Sunday along with the the bro and nephew - what a disappointment - 2 very small flounder. Again I was talking to a few anglers who told me that I should be at 'such and such a spot' or 'you should have been here last week' - always the same story at this mark
We packed up and headed to Red Bay via a very hairy mountain road form Ballymoney to Cushendall - anyone that knows this road will know what I mean
We got to the Ledge and I got out of the car to survey the scene, I spotted a sizeable fish rising out of the water about 50 yards in front of us, it looked like a Bass or Sea Trout - very silver in colour. This got my hopes up considerably..... I then proceeded to blank!!!!
A day worth forgetting me thinks.....
