Report:was going to head to donegal but went here at the last moment and was glad we did when the wind blew up about 16.30, on arrival we seen a large fish thrashing about in the water bout 60 yds out being swooped upon by half a dozen gulls tried a spinner but had no luck in connecting with it and after 15 mins it was gone, dont know what it was didnt look like a salmon but was easily 12--15 lb
shortly after this we picked up the pollack on the float and just coming on to dusk i scooped my best shore caught plaice for about 3 years and my da lifted the big doggie about 3.5 lb he never catches dogs or so he says

you go in the entrance for the carrick a rede rope bridge and turh left and follow path down into the bay

yeah ron ballintoy side, defo a lsd ,as soon as i unhooked it ,due to the size of it i checked for nasal flaps and it had none ,but i noticed it had a funny shaped top lip with a small flap at each side of its top lip never seen this before
