Duration:8.00-9.00pm

Tide:high water

Weather:calm overcast,getting dark

Bait:mini jerk/crank baits and plugs

Rigs:none

Results:1 big mackerel and 8 smaller pollack

Catch and Release:: kept the mackerel,pollock all went back

Report:grabbed an hour out last night and went to the dee for the first time this year.nobody else there,had the pier to myself.
I had some small plugs and crank/jerkbaits that I got from lidl ages ago.
didn't like the colours so I sprayed them silver with fluorescent orange spots.took them to the pier and fished them jerkbait style with the mini rod.
excellent sport,getting a hit every 5 minutes. watching the pollock hit the floating plugs was great,just a dark shadow homing in on them.
can see me doing this a lot more.

ps pollock were all around a 1lb,mackerel was huge!

Did you look over the wall at all, We were out on the Boat Just off the Pier mate!

Don't get too comfortable on that pier mate.

You might be evicted by a certain Drew McMinn from Millisle.....

I am surprised you even got an hout to yourself on it

Good going with the jerkbaits BTW.

no drew,I was going to throw some feathers off the wall but was having too much fun! just stayed at the railings.
did you catch much?

nice to get a bit of space on the pier.
