Fingal Co Co Proposed Beach/Foreshore Bye-Laws 2026

#1 Post by jd »

Fingal County Council have proposed amendments to their Beach Bye-Laws that would unncessarily restrict angling on beaches.
During the Bathing Season in any year, between the hours of 10:00 and 20:00, persons shall be prohibited from fishing on a Reserved Bathing area and a Blue Flag Beach or Blue Flag Candidate Beach.
You may leave a submission on the Fingal County Council site -> https://consult.fingal.ie/en/consultati ... -laws-2006

These bye-laws will be voted on by the Councillors and they may propose amendments to what is proposed,
You should contact Fingal County Councillors asking that they propose or support amendments to remove the restrictions.
