hello lads, hows things?
My mate Louis Fennell has never managed a smooth hound from down south, so plans where made to visit kilgorman. we went armed with the finest peeler crab, squid and mackerel. I managed to get away from home early and we made good time getting there therefore we where about to fish the dropping tide and then onto high time at 8.30am, about 10 hours fishing. It wasn't hectic fishing but we managed a few hounds before low water and a wee tub gurnard. it went quiet as the tide flooded but near high water the hounds can back, missed a few before landing one. In the end we had 3 hounds to 6/7lb a couple of doggies and a tub gurnard. A long drive but well worth the trip

Re: wexford trip
Its always a succes when you connect with your target species - especially when you get late in the season and there might not be another oppurtunity etc.
