13th trip of 2024

#1 Post by MC »

this trip wasn't planned so was a bit under prepared bait wise ,just sandeel and frozen peelers, anyway it was suggested that i go fishing, not one to look the gift horse in the mouth i checked online tides and a culdaff beach worked out right. It meant once I picked the wife up from work I could pack the car and drive off and be there in time for low water at12.30am. I arrived with time to spare and it didn't take me long to set up and have baits in the water, the plan was to fish one rod at distance and one in the surf line, covering all bases. Well low water came and went not a bite, had one bite at mid water a nice 29cm founder. Thinking the fish was starting to feed I fished on, but alas baits came back untouched, fished until the sun came up and it was a beautiful morning, was meant to fish until high water at 7am but it was dead so I packed up and drove home to get some shut eye. All in all not a bad session as the night was mild and I saw the sunset, but most of all I didnt blank.
