North Dublin 24-July-2024

#1 Post by Greg30 »

Been a while since I posted a report! to be brutally honest there has not been a lot to post about. on session 25+ for the season and still had not found the elusive Dublin Bass! 100% of my fishing now is done with hard Lures, soft plastics & metals in short 2-3 hour sessions when I can manage a couple of hours away from the wife and kids.

Managed to get a pass from the wife for a couple of hours and headed down to a local North Dub mark for a short evening session (8:30-10:30PM) Low tide was in or around 8PM, hopeful there might be a few hungry fish around after the full moon on Sunday. Conditions looked good, slight ripple on the water so I stared of with a surface lure (Patchinko 100) on about the 5th cast..Boom I was in! granted he was only a tiddler maybe 25cm, I was very happy t break my duck!

I fished on for another couple of hours using, soft plastic paddle tail (EVoBass) and Shallow diving lure (Berkley DEx 140mm) but to no avail. Happy enough to not blank.

I have set myself a target 10 Dublin Bass this season, they will all be released regardless of them being over 42+, will update the forum with progress.

Tight lines lads.
