Mussel as bait

What are peoples opinion and experiencing using raw mussel from the boat-----effective and how do you fish it?--thoughts welcome!

Hi

TBH, the opinions vary on this very differently. Personally i would not go out on the boat without it...Find it can be extremely productive for cod in particular.. I would either just lash it on a bit of mackerel or squid with bait elastic...

The squid body thou is a great storage for the likes of mussel once its cleaned out

Certainly mussel from the boat is way more better than from the beach but that may be a different case in other areas
