I have been watching this one with interest. Any reports along the east coast yet? Or is it still a bit early?

Re: SHORE MACKEREL REPORTS 2021
Several locals reporting good catches of decent sized macks off the North Mayo cliffs and rock marks in recent days. Nasty onshore North winds tho, so extreme caution advised.

Re: SHORE MACKEREL REPORTS 2021
I spent a couple of hours in Clogherhead on Wednesday. No sign of mackerel or, for that matter, sprats. I caught a 3-inch Gurnard and a few 2-inch whiting so at least I didn't blank!
Species 2022: Halibut, Coalfish, Cod, Haddock, Pollack, Whiting, Mackerel, Wolffish, Redfish, Torsk
