Poulsallagh, Clare 29.05.21

#1 Post by jonney »

When: 29/05/2021
Where: Rock platform in Poulsallagh area
Who: Just me
Duration: 15:30 - 17:00
High Water: 20:00
Equipment: Light 9ft lure rod and a heavier spinning rod.
My Bait: Sabikis and jig lure
Conditions: Sunny, warm, calm
Result: 1 Pollock

Had a brief window of opportunity so I went back for a quick session with light gear.
In a repeat of the last session got a small pollock on the second cast, same place, same jig.
Nothing else for the rest of the session, had to leave as the War Office had made contact.
As I was leaving I could see the gulls feeding on eels at the surface so I may have missed a bit of action there.
No sign of mackerel again.

Arrived to find feather packaging and what appeared to be denim short-shorts left behind. I took them away with me.
Whoever left this: I hope you never catch a fish.

Nice short trip out Jonney. It's always sad to see the rubbish some will leave behind. I will be fishing near Blackhead in August and I will end up with a bag of rubbish each trip out. Some people just were not brought up right.
List 2010. fish

List 2011: less fish

2012: less fish again,

2013: even less fish.
