Donabate & Portrane

#1 Post by Greendag »

Donabate on Monday
Portrane on Tuesday
Results: 1 flounder
Tide, on the flood

Just thought I’d post a quick report of a couple of local daytime sessions cos there’s not much activity at the moment.
Donabate on Monday, sea was very clam, fished a couple of hours around high water mark. Baits were lug, squid and mac.
Baits were mostly coming back untouched, caught 1 flounder on lug/ squid combo.
Portrane, Conditions and baits were more or less the same except it was a a lot warmer. Big blankety blank on the day, speaking to a couple of other lads there and they were catching nothing as well.
Roll on April and the end of this feckin lockdown. :D

Have a few hours on Donabate yesterday 3 up to HW, plenty of small flats to black lug with Mac strips and Pin whiting further out. ( 1 cast was enough to stay in close :-)
Blue n White is the new Black!!!
