Squid Angling ~ Dublin Bay environs?
Looking for some guidance please.
Have been watching some fairly recent Youtube videos - mostly showing UK/Wales coast side - showing relatively successful night-time angling for large squid (2-4 lbs) off harbour walls/piers/jetties etc, even with fairly busy watercraft traffic. Given these squid must be in the Irish Sea/St George's Channel, I presume there must be some reasonable chance of them being available to be caught around Dublin Bay area - say from Liffey/Great South Wall down to Killiney? Would I be mistaken with that assumption?
Has anyone put in some effort using squid jigs at night - possibly in the vicinity of good harbour lighting, or perhaps attaching Cyalume (glow in the dark) sticks attached near the bait/squid jig.
Would be quite keen to hear if it's worthwhile spending a couple of hours chucking squid jigs.

That's cool didnt know ya could get them from the shore.
Once landed is it ok to return them or are they kinda goosed from the squid jig.

We usually do this around September / October in Tralee. They are great fun for light gear. You can see the bridge being lit up by squid jigging anglers who bring their own flood lights pointing at the sea luring the squid towards their light.

It seems to be all year round once you have a high tide during dark, is that so.
