Boat charter recommendations Galway/Clare/Mayo

#1 Post by pajo »

Hi all,

Any recommendations on charter boats in Galway?

General drift fishing for cod, pollack, coalfish, ling...

I checked out the boat charters page here but it seems to be a bit out of date...

Thanks,
Pat

Is John Brittain still sailing out of Clifden? Very knowledgeable, excellent for sharking, even on the fly. Well worth a phone call. Was very popular.

Kevin MacGabhann fishes from spiddal and rosaveal as far as I know. I've been out a number of times and in varying conditions and always caught nice fish near Aran. Option of stopping for lunch on one of the islands too https://www.facebook.com/Galwaybayfishing/

John Brittain is working out of Cleggan. He’s licensed for the bluefin too. John Fleming is doing good work out of Roseveal

Thank all for the info.

I was supposed to get out today but had to come back to Dublin unexpectedly. Weather wasn't looking great anyway.

Another day hopefully.
