Mayo May Bank Holiday

#1 Post by joe the junior »

Fishing has been good over the weekend along the rock marks. went out with the brother for a couple of sessions during Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday, we tried a new mark along the Currane coast which produced dogs from the go with a rockling thrown in the mix
Sunday we tried the same place at low water to see if there was any difference and it proved to be. Landed between us were dogfish with ryan beating me with the species count that included a couple of flounder and ray. i managed a spider crab which i hoped was a ray  as high tide was approaching we tried the local peir where once again the brother bet me with a 70cm conger along with pollack, Sea Scorpion and coalies. i managed afew sandeel below the peir that were taken on small sabiki type feathers along with another spider crab and a scorpion fish.
good mix of species and good weather!
