Poolbeg small hounds

Fished the rising tide from low water 8.40pm to 10.40pm. A few small hounds about, lads beside me had two small fish, and I had two fish in the first hour on rag tipped with squid.
Missed a few more, bites were not very strong. Then the bites stopped. Gave it another hour hoping some larger fish would show up as it got darker, but no luck. Called it a day, happy enough to get two nice little hounds. They were in good condition and full with hermit crabs.
Had another short session there last Thursday and had 3 small hounds. Plenty of them about and handy to get to if you don’t have the time to go further south.
