Preserved Bait

#1 Post by ardinn »

Has anyone used any preserved baits? As I'm based in carlow, fresh bait is obviously out of the question and we wouldnt really have a passing trade heading sea fishing, so I was looking at preserved baits.

Comes in Mackeral, Sandeel, Whitebait and squid.

Any opinions?

Yes. Don't bother with preserved baits. Best thing to do is go for frozen hits, mackerel (or fresh from supermarket) squid and sandal. Time your trip to the area you fish and order bait in advance, this will bring for better results in the long run than preserved baits
