Fresh Bait Youghal/Ardmore / Dungarvan/ Waterford Areas

Hi there !

I'm having a week in a cottage, inland from Ardmore from next Saturday.

Any suggestions on where I could buy fresh bait in the areas mentioned ? I usually dig my own lug so I'd really be after crab and perhaps a box or two of rag.

I've called a few shops and only frozen was available.

Hopefully someone will be along with a better response but just in case.

In Dungarvan the only one I know is https://www.facebook.com/dungarvan.countrysports/ but don't know if they do fresh. I'm in Cork city so the closest I know in Cork is http://eastcorkbaitandtackle.com/location.html I bought rag & lug from him for a boat comp recently he also has crab. If you're flying in https://www.tackledirectireland.ie/ is just West of the city and https://www.facebook.com/corkangling/ is in the city. Give them all a call and you'll be sorted, just depends on how far from Ardmore you need to drive.

Any reply is appreciated ! The forum is a lot quiter now than it was; well I've been a member for nearly 11 years !

I've bought quite a bit of stuff from Dan at Halfway over the years and can usually count on him for bait, but I'll have a job convincing my wife that going to Cork city ( again) is a good proposition !

Call to East Cork Bait and Tackle in Cloyne about 30min or so from Youghal. Paul will look after you top bloke.....
