It's not bad there at all-theres a few snags close in mooring ropes etc but generally fine

Lads sorry for all the questions but I'm still sort of new to angling what size cod can you take home is there a legal bag limit had one in kilgorman about a month ago at 30cm but released was just wondering if no limit on size what size is the minimum you would take home?

No size limit

anything over 35cm will give you a pan size fillet

Learn a small bit from Donal, you will be grand, do not forget you are only telling (not even showing)a man How to catch a fish and not how to eat fish... Nor it will make harm to your bank balance.. At the end of the day you will be happy that you helped someone..cheers so tight lines

Fished the wall at Monkstown yesterday, no cod about but plenty of small whiting. I had about a half a dozen between 33-35cm, mackerel done fine for bait. Breakfast for the Rottweiler sorted.

Fished Ferrypoint today from low water for two hours, two 20cm cod.
Fished up the up river after that, one 45cm cod and 2 flounder.
Last move, Youghal beach fished for two hours in darkness may have got a least one bite when I was not looking.

Updated: Spoke to two lads that fished the Abbey poor fishing, they met some Dubs that were fishing Youghal over 2 days and they had poor fishing also.

Youghal and Monkstown are best avoided for the time been and you can add Ballyquin to that also, heard of poor fishing there too.

Fished over HW at the Wall yesterday evening- not a touch on crab baits. Also lobbed out mackerel bait for whiting but no go.
Fishing was only effective for an hour before the ebb tide was haring through.
