tuna
just spoke to eamonn hayes skipper in kilmore quay.apparantly a tuna between 200/300 lbs was caught out of kilmore today.hasnt been one landed since 1960.nice to think there are still giants left in the sea.

Well I can assure you that area is full of tuna and shark. The celtic sea herring fishing the trawlers say the place is full of them. Tope, blues, porgies and bluefin all in through the herring

as seems to be common with the tuna, there is a picture of the fish brought to the side of the boat. then it is usually released into the deep freeze of a few of those on board as we do not have any quota for them
catch and release!
