White lady Clifden

#1 Post by Tarmacduck »

Fished as above with my three boys, we tried every thing two hours either side of low water. Caught 1 smallish pollock will not be trying it again because unless we missed the footpath it was a right slog across a flooded peat bog.

That's fishing for you. You just have to take the rough with the smooth and the best fishing marks normally don't have foot paths that's why they fish so well it keeps the undesirables at bay.

Another quick thought I live adjacent to Morecambe bay which was once full of thorn backs fish in double figures were caught regularly with the odd fish in 15lb bracket. They are now very scarce but stary smooth hounds and tope are much more prolific.

the white lady is over rated plenty of better marks around the bay with a lot less walking
i anyone is going to fish the white lady walk close to the shoreline its easier then cutting across the bog
the white lady is only good around low water and if you fish the low rock keep your eyes open as the tide comes in behind one rock and you will get cut off then the rock gets covered
the mark in the bay told you about is a lot better
if you are fishing around in the next few day let me know and if i am around i will bring you somewhere
