Just found these maps - Basically the exact same as google maps, but - instead of taking satellite images, the take photos from a plane and they are much higher resolution, meaning much more detail on marks if you want to have a look more closely.
Tweak settings to "birdseye" view and away you go.
Anybody know why the colour change in the attached?
http://www.bing.com/maps/#Y3A9c3B5bmg3Z ... 0wfjB+MH4=
Also id point out that there are 4 photos for each place - N.S.E.W. - So toggling through the photo directions really throws up some hidden treasures. Dont just look at it in north view.
Hope it helps.

Re: Bing Maps
I didn't notice any colour change when I looked at the map but I noticed that it uses the same images as
https://maps.here.com
The aeriel view on the "Here.com" maps is much clearer.
I was working on our site on the day the image was taken back in March 2012, I can see the Hymac working in the Polytunnel. I was beside it somewhere but just not visible on the image.

Re: Bing Maps
Google Earth is useful as you can use images from other dates (some are from 2005, 2009 etc.) to see the terrain under the sea. Some photos are at HW others are at LW.
