Hi Guys.
I have booked a 2 week break in Tralee from the 10th June,hoping to do a spot of shore fishing.Any help would be appreciated as to marks,availability of bait and anything else that would be helpful,not wanting your secret spots.Many thanks in anticipation.

Cracking area to be fishing, you might want to extend it to a month to get in all the good spots 
Bass ban in place until June 15th. A must catch that time of the year are Stingray, Undulated ray and Tope

We're a friendly bunch alright, the site just doesn't have that much traffic going through it at the moment. Martin McGowan's article on Tralee bay in this months Sea Angler Magazine has maps & useful info on some of the most popular marks. Fenit pier and the shoreline inland towards Tralee will produce Sting ray, undulate ray & thornbacks on fish & crab baits. The surf beaches outside of the bay (Banna to the north, Stradbally to the south) will produce bass & flounders to lug baits. You can dig lug and gather sandeels in Poll Gorm, or ring Chris in Atlantic Tackle and he'll organise bait for you. He'll also be able to give you up to date info on the fishing.

What means of transport will you have as a lot of the beach venues can be driven on to with a 4X4 which helps keep you away from the surfers.

Just wondering if anyone has an online copy of the Sea Angler article on Tralee bay that was mentioned? Couldn't find one on after a google search. Originally from Tralee and I'm going home this weekend hoping to land a ray- where is the highest likelihood of landing any ray in Tralee bay and what state would the tide have to be at?!
