Ennereilly/Mizen Head

#1 Post by delmonte »

I'm thinking of trying down towards Ennereilly, preferably the rock mark i'v heard of at Mizen Head. Could someone point me in the right direction in regards to accessing the rock mark? Thanks.

Try using Google Earth. It would appear to be a bit of a walk through fields, but nothing impossible.

Any ideas where would be decent for a codling at this time of year? Travelling from Dublin that's why I was thinking Wicklow or Wexford.

You might be better off heading a bit further to Waterford. You could try ballyhack/arthurstown. That might throw up a few.

Theres a junction on the road just past the golf course and there is a walk way just at the junction. bit of a walk to the rocks but and you will have to cross over a load of sand dunes so travel light haha. when you get to the beach you are near the "two humps" which is probably the best spot to fish on the beach rather than walking over to the rocks.

And be careful of the lads in the dunes, you can't miss them they have their rods in their hands and I don't mean fishing rods.
