Donegal bait

#1 Post by delmonte »

Gonna try the pier in Rathmullan over the weekend. Is there any bait to be had up that way? Still havint managed a Ray yet. If anyone knows of a spot that has a good chance of turning one up please pm me. Staying in Ballybofey where the Mrs is visiting her friend so will travel anywhere up that way within reason!

Mr G's right in Ballybofey 9just along from McElhinney's) might do bait, but he's more of a dabbler in freshwater tackle.

The place you want, handily enough, is on the Ramelton Rd out of Letterkenny as you're heading to Rathmullan. John McLaughlin in Swilly Flies and Tackle always has a well stocked bait freezer, and you can get fresh rag off him too - you might have to order that.

If you are passing near Derry, rod and line on clarendon street have a good selection, they also have rag at times too.
