Killybegs

#1 Post by guernica84 »

Hi lads,

Does anyone know if there's somewhere in the town or nearby that stocks bait? I know the shop on the pier to the left hand side as you're looking out to see stocks tackle but not sure about bait. Only really after frozens.

There's a shop in Dunkineely, on the right as you head for Killybegs, which stocks some tackle and frozen bait but I don't know what exactly he keeps. Mooney's boatyard in Killybegs has some tackle and sometimes has frozen bait but again I'm not sure what and how dependable they would be. Bundoran is a bit out of your way but Carty's Land and Sea sports at the west end of town normally carries a good supply of frozen Mack, sandeel, razor, lug and crab.

Yeah mooney boats have a fairly good range of tackle. Big grey building over the shore Rd. Upstairs just ask one of the lads behind the counter. They stock rag not too sure on what day it is delivered think it's Wednesday. They have macs, lug raps, sandeels and peelers. Hope this helps tight lines
