Is it me or is everyone on the east coast getting plagued by these fish last two weeks must have caught over 60 of them

Don't knock the poor ould dogfish.Saved manys a blank and if they too get thinned out then im afraid plenty of marks will become fishless

Who would for taught the might dog fish touch's so many lads heart's no I was just asking as the last 2 weeks or so I seem to catch quite a few with other species as I had a 6p hound which only gave a small knock where the doggies gave a better account of themselfs

Ah now I get where your coming from!Dont feel as if you're alone because a few of the spots I fish down here are stuffed with them at the moment& some are very small.
From looking at previous years there appears to be a definate increase in their numbers around this time of year& then the numbers level off giving other species a chance & you're right as well about been rather aggressive on the take.Maybe they are in the middle of their breeding season and have come closer to shore to drop the egg cases, just a thought.
