Lough Swilly - 6th June

#1 Post by pete »

Fished from 5.30pm to 9.00pm and between the two of us we took seven thornbacks and a dogfish. Had three aborted tope runs so I'm going to have to rethink the way I'm baiting up with the mackerel in order to get a better ratio. Plenty of teeth marks on the bait after the runs but always at the end away from the hook

Some mackerel showing at the surface now and again.
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC

Some good tips on this thread by Ian Burrett Pete, needed to refresh myself on them as well. http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=55147&hl=ian+burrett
