Broken/Missing rod section - Advice

#1 Post by shortcircuit »

Hi folks,

Couple of weeks ago the top two feet of the top section of my Shakespeare Odessa bass rod (11ft6, 2-4oz) broke and fell into the estuary, never to be seen again. Is a repair possible- seeing as I don't have both pieces either side of the break?

The rod is no longer in production so I don't think I can get a replacement top section from the manufacturer. Has anyone got any advice? The rod was second hand so I obviously wouldn't like to spend huge money on it. That said it is a lovely rod and would be great if I could get some kind of repair.

Thanks all
