Bass spots for beginner

#1 Post by markhamilton »

Hi guys.

With the salmon and trout season now over, Im looking for a new sport fish. I always wanted to catch a bass on the fly or at least plugging or spinning but I wouldnt have a clue where to start?

Could anyone point me in the right direction? Im aware of sensitivity about sharing spots etc if you could even p.m. a spot id be eternally grateful!

Most lads wont give up their hard earned bass spots too easy,it's all about ground work patience and persistence ,but a few pointers are look for places not too deep with a good flow of tide around headlands estuary mouths or any structure which juts out into the tide flow these are the places hungry fish ambush their food, google earth is a handy tool to use to at least get a starting point and if ye do get lucky keep it to yourself
