hi lads was wanting to know if any of you have tried these long three piece rods for casting??any feedback at all??

Personally I don't have very much exp with them as they are generally designed to over-head thumping with thin lines and not power casting so casters tend to steer clear of them. I have seen quite a few break during casting ranging from cheap n cheerful ones to some top brand named ones, sorry I could not be of more help...


On the other hand here are some clips of us trying to smash a Shakespeare Contender, we cast everything from 175g up to "a half pound" boat lead and it stood up to it with just a few cracks around the joints:
