Whats the difference between sand smelt and rainbow smelt think we got a good few sand smelt in the net the other night while netting *Sandeels. popped them back out of the net and they shot off like lighting so they wern't herring.
think they might have been sand smelt cause no teeth in their mouth and mouth pointing upwards like a mullet
