a bit of a novice question but would I be right in thinking that when shore fishing you want the wind on your back. if the wind is in your face does it bring a lot of weed in and make fishing harder? I'm new to shore fishing and want to make the best of it.
Tanks lads.

Re: wind direction
The wind at your back makes for calmer seas and more comfortable fishing, but an onshore wind puts up the surf which makes for better conditions when fishing for species like Bass, Cod or Coalfish.
