Im curious, How many miles could a small 16ft boat head out from shore? With an experienced skipper and the correct safety equipment in excellent weather conditions.

It depends on weather,tide and common sense.
Personally,I have been fishing since I was 4 and my fathers advice was if you think you should turn back,don't wait to think it again.
On a calm day tidal rips can cause any small boat problems.If I had that boat in the pic I wouldn't venture more than a mile from shore.

Experienced skipper,is that with ticket or life experience! My advice is work with weather and use lots of common sense. Check charts and try and get advice form locals!
