#1 Post by s50touring »

People: myself, brian

Duration: 3:00-6:00

Tide: high at 5.30

Weather: sunny 8)

Bait: mack and sandeel

Rigs:

Results: brian 2 pollack myself 2 lsd, 1ballen wrass and a conger

CaR

Report: a plan was hatched to make the most of the sunny day so me and brian headed to spiddal for a cast or 2, brian was first off the mark with a decent pollock of about 2lbs witch is good for the peir, I got 2 doggies and a nice conger at distance, fishing slowed down a bit so I threw a artificial jelly on my spinning rod, after a few casts I got a nice bite and an even better fight witch turned out to be a wrass another first for me :D

I was led to belive wrass are fairly hard to get on lures/jellys

Well done on the lure caught wrasse 8) Something I'd like to achieve myself.
Good article on it here from topfisher last month for more info.
