Portmarnock 11/02/2014

#1 Post by Deleted User 3488 »

People:Myself and the Brother and his young lad

Duration:5pm-8.30pm

Tide:rising

Weather:flat calm

Bait:Razor, Lug, Mackerel and Crab

Rigs:Flappers

Results: Plenty of small whiting and a nice Rockling

Report:Just to pass a few hours without the hassle of a long drive, we fished the high-rock in Portmarnock.
The whiting seemed to be there in numbers, sadly all between 20-25cm, but kept the rods constantly knocking. Only decent fish of the night went to Adam with a nice plump Rockling of
34 cm (Well done young man). Nice relaxing session to start the year.
Entries now open for the All Ireland Shore Cod Championships on November 29th hosted by Sea Angling Ireland SAC
