Passage east whitting

#1 Post by Hurling »

Was down in passage east on Sunday caught some nice whitting and pouting and some nice dabs all fish on fresh lug and crab and some codling on crab legs. Got a whitting about 2 lbs on whole squid if you are thinking about going down there fish just on the corner on an in coming tide cast your bait just where the fast water meets the stil water with squid on a 1/0 hook AT NIGHT .

Any one else get any thing else down there or fish in the day time?

it seems fresh mackeral is the bait to use at the moment...good catches of whiting been taken on it.people are still catching fresh mackeral in Dunmore east harbour, but after the windy weather we're getting at the moment they might not be around for much longer!!
