Tope fishing in donegal from the shore?

I have heard off some tope being taken up in donegal but they have been lost because the people who have hooked them have been fishing for rays. My dad lost one because his tope rolled up the rig and snapped 70lb line.
So is there a place from the shore where u can catch them ofte

one of my mates had two last year . He only fished it once. Theres a place in mountcharles down by the pier . They are meant to be plentiful. Havent got a chance to get at them YET lol hope this helps

I've heard of Mountcharles as a tope venue alright. I would imagine there's opportunities in Lough Swilly too.
