frozen lug v frozen crab
im hoping to get out for a bit  on sat for Pollock cod etc but really unsure whether to get  crab or lug im just wondering   what people think i know its a case of personally choice etc   but lookin for opinions  as i havent a clue to where to start with winter baits

I make my decision on bait based on target species and location. Based on the 2 you mentioned I'd go for crab on cod and lug on pollock. I don't know what to use with the etc... feathers maybe

Yep as the lads said crab for cod, lug will work for most species as well especially off beach marks.
