rivers feeding into carlingford lough?

I found a river the whitewater with secluded trout spots do i need a license to fish there.? about 1 mile from seashore

Hi niceirishman, as mac says you need a license but you also need a permit to fish on that river, you can get this in the post office in kilkeel, that river is well protected by both the loughs agency and the local kilkeel angling club.. No wading in clear water also...

Don't forget also, if its in the North you'll need a rod licence... 2K fine if your caught without...
