Cheap uptide rod

#1 Post by jono,b »

Looking for some advice lads, i was out yesterday (mack bashing) and i used a friends set up, he had a 9.5 ft uptide rod which he was using from the pier, it was great for fethering for macks, good cast and solid pull through for jigging.

Anyway i am looking for a cheap uptide rod, whats the entry level? where has good stock in dublin??

Thanks lads.

I'm sure you'd get sorted in any of the angling shops. They all tend to stock the more inexpensive models.
Try Henry's, Southside they always have a good selection. I'm sure the more local lads would have further recommendations based on your location in Dublin.

Grauvell Anaga is an excellent rod, it has now been replaced by the Azimut, which seems to be equally as good, I have one of each, should set you back around €50 or €60
