couple trips out from youghal harbour

Duration:2 shark trips about 5hrs each and 3 hours conger fishing

Tide:1st shark trip filling tide 2nd shark trip falling tide conger trip over high water

Weather:all sorts

Bait:mac

Rigs:wire

Results:blue shark,conger,macs,and while bait fishing plenty of cod pollock gurnards whiteing

Nice fishing John, handy few blues being caught outside over the last few weeks. Did ye get many cod, any size?

plenty of small cod hammering the feathers on the first trip the other trips we didnt see the numbers of cod but there was a couple bigger cod caught biggest cod so far was 4lb nothing great yet might have a proper go at them the next day we get out

great fishing lads, how far offshore were you getting the blues? been a while since iv fished out of youghal we used to have some fantastic results, the folia used to produce some cracking fish 8)

we were 12 nautical miles from the harbour havent fished the folio yet but its on the to do list and the to do list keeps getting longer :lol:

cheers john, my to do list is like yours, have been meaning to do youghal again but cant fit everything in,would love to get down for a blue but time seems to be sliping away from that plan :? the folia is a nice and handy wreck only few miles off :wink:

im only 4 trips into boat fishing so every trip we come back the list gets longer :lol: we took a look at the folio steaming back the last day but cranky women :twisted: and a riseing wind put an end to our plan of fishing it grand and easy to find too big marker buoy over it.

Fair play John thats a great session there and some nice sharks aswell. Well done.

Species 2013: Coalie, East Coast Codling, Smoothounds, And hopefully a back opp to get back fishing soon...
