Sligo beach fishing beginner

#1 Post by KelDG »

Hi all

I am trying to get into some beach fishing in Sligo, I have my eye on Rosses point and Strand Hill beach, I hear them mentioned all the time but I can never seem to see anyone fishing them. Have I just been unlucky in not seeing anyone about hte few times I have gone? I have been there at high tide during the day.

Any tips on where and when would be appreciated.

Thanks all

A total newbi.

If you hit the search button at the top of the page & type Sligo you should get plenty of info on the beaches & baits to use. I use two rods with either a two or three hook flapper one baited with with lug & a thin Mackerel strips & the other rod baited with just Mackerel strip & fish one in close & one at distance.

Thanks FisherKing

Plenty of good info in the search, I was doing that before but getting nowhere fast as I did not press the the topics only button, all nice and concise now.

Cheers
