People:myself and my father

Duration:23:00-03:00

Tide:low water at midnight

Weather:clear full foon

Bait: lug

Rigs: 1 up 1 down clipped

Results: 3 flounder two were undersize one 32cm
2 bass one 48cm one 42cm

Report: we arrived at the beach at 23:00 and started to fish the last hour of the drop, very heavy weed for about half an hour . At around dead low water my father got a double of undersize flounder so back they went! After the turn i picked up a nice flounder of 32cm and we both missed bites next cast. all was very quiet untill i got slack lined at 02:30 result was a nice bass of 48cm and bang on 4lb, almost straight away the father also had a good bite resulting in a nice bass of 42cm and 3lb. had just cast back out and a shower of f*&^ers decided it would be great craic to go swimming..  end of fishing
no wonder people are drowning all over the place

Nice fishing. Weed is a problem all around E Cork at the moment due to good sunlight. However, it seems to move in and out with the tides.

Ye did well to pull in a few fish.
I was down that way the other night and it was tough going. Plenty of suspended weed in the water catching the lines but still fishable. I gave it over 4 hours and only had one fish. Not even a few doggies about strangely enough.

We were going to head off because of the weed but as it reached low water it just disappeared pretty much .. Saying that I went down for a walk the next evening after work and there was a hell of a lot more weed there
