Will try east cork during the week and let you all know how it's doing.
Will only be able to go after work so will only be able to fish low tides, so maybe not the best indicator.

I can well believe that mate, no Macks to eat them. The Icelandes and Faroese are to blame for it all, there were a big load of Russian factory trawlers up there this years and not one of them was under 100 metres LOL, you can't take a 1/3 of the NE Atlantic mack stock and still have them like they used to be.

Don't lose faith yet! We're doing these reports a good few years now and what I noticed in previous years is that reporting of anything often went quiet in mid summer. I couldn't be sure but I suspected that there was often a lull, but people didn't bother reporting blanks (the most important report really!)

This year there seems to be a lot more people reporting blanks which is great as long as the same number or more mackerel are around the coast at the right time

Please keep reporting, when the weather settles down we might have a deluge of good stuff yet.

The reason I haven't posted any reports is coz I didn't get out at all yet, hope to put that right very soon

Btw anyone see any mack around Kinsale (Bridge etc??)

Blackie
