hey tinto,

just saw your request, hope you get this before you leave, the spot you want to go for in that area is called cloghans, leave lahinch go through liscannor and about a mile out the road for the cliffs there is a severe right turn you want to veer left there, ask locally if in doubt...............

Its a lovely ledge on the left hand side you wont miss it, only trouble is if the weather is fine the locals swim there as its deep water you might have to move out the coast a little bit......

well worth the trip i have had pollack coalfish wrasse macks and garfish there , it also a lovely part of the world, bring your camera if you go

happy hunting..............

What is with all the adverts in the links? Unless you have a time machine forget cloghans unless you want to catch swimmers.
you will need tiny hooks freshwatwer 14-16 and crabflesh to hook mullet in liscannor harbour if you are lucky enough to get there when some idiot isnt chucking lures at them. Head north or further west for either species.
If there is a lot of rotting weed around Cregg might be worth cast with maggots for the mullet
The Truth is often stumbled upon by men, most of whom pick themselves up and hurry along as if nothing ever happened.

Anywhere around Doolin is good for pollock and wrasse and wouldnt have seen much fishing apart from the horseshoe, watch the swell if you go there though.

No, if you go to doolin pier and park in the car park with the toliets beside the campsite and walk a few hundred yards you will come to a horseshoe shaped bay. I havent had much luck with the pollock there but I know people who have caught big pollock there. Have caught plenty of wrasse there alright though, theres pollock along pretty much all the shoreline from ballyreen to the cliffs of moher.

Hi lads sorry to butt in but was fishing what I think was the "horseshoe" the other evening with not not much luck I might add :( I was first fishing with lures bass bar etc and then swapped to spinning and float fishing fire tail jellys, just wondering am I doing something wrong or just unlucky? Cheers John :)
